NAM EXPANDS MEDICAL MALPRACTICE PART
So as to serve the increasing demand for Medical Malpractice mediation services, NAM has targeted this area of practice by recruiting some the most respected attorneys in the field. These highly effective panel members have a deep understanding of medical malpractice litigation. Some of the NAM's newly created medical malpractice panel members that are available to mediate cases throughout the Metro-New York region are:
Hon. John P. DiBlasi is a former New York Supreme Court Justice, first to preside over the Commercial Division in Westchester County, in addition to his role as the chief architect of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Program used successfully by this Court. Since entering the private sector Judge DiBlasi has developed a strong reputation as a full-time ADR professional. He has mediated and/or arbitrated virtually every type of medical malpractice claim including brain injuries and failure to diagnose. Judge DiBlasi has achieved multiple settlements in excess of $1 million, in fact, since January of 2010; his mediated settlements have ranged from 1.5 to 4.85 million.
Hon. James P. Dollard sat in New York Supreme, Queens and supervised the Medical, Dental and Podiatric Medical Malpractice Part. During this time he worked on matters, including but not limited to severe brain damage cases, death actions in dental cases, failure to diagnose, cancer cases, nursing home abuse, and childbirth/infant cases. One representative matter in particular involved a multimillion dollar case for failure to diagnose preeclampsia, causing severe brain damage to the child resulting in 24-hour care and permanent confinement to a wheelchair.
Kenneth Grundstein, Esq. is the former Senior Counsel and Chief Settlement Negotiator for the New York City Health and Hospital Corporation, the largest municipal hospital and health care system in the country. He had the direct authority from the City to settle a wide variety matters, involving both personal injury and medical malpractice claims. During this time he resolved over 10,000 matters totaling more than 250 million dollars per year in settlements. He has over thirty-two years of experience in medical malpractice and is highly respected by the attorneys who have sat across from him.
You can access all of their resumes online at www.namadr.com in the Hearing Officers section under the New York Metro roster.
